Hi friends! Dinner Divas Week 97 is another crowd pleaser. Wait until you see what’s on the menu!
Dinner Divas Weekly Menu Plan: Week 97
Chicken and Sausage Gumbo from The Speckled Palate starts the week! The ultimate Louisiana comfort food, with a dark roux as its base, from-scratch gumbo is a labor of love. However, it’s worth every moment to serve this delicious dish to your family!
I love comfort food. Hearty casseroles and thick, rich soups are a staple in our house during the winter. (Or at least what passes for “Winter” here in Southern California!) In the Spring though, my body starts craving fresh veggies and simpler dishes. And, really, there is nothing simpler than my very own Pesto Shrimp and Zoodles! We’ll just eat it and pretend it’s Spring!
Étouffée of any variety is a given this time of year, or any time really. Langostino étouffée from Pooks Pantry is a twist on the traditional crawfish étouffée. Langostino are super sweet and go sooooo well with the flavors in this dish. Add this one to the grocery list, you won’t be sorry!
Comfortably Domestic makes the best homemade Chicken Noodle Soup! It is packed with tender homemade egg noodles and plenty of love to warm your heart and soul on a chilly day. It’s an elevated classic comfort food dish!
Whether you make these epic Spicy Chicken Guacamole Sliders from Pastry Chef Online for a crowd, or for your family, the combination of spicy chicken covered with hot melted pepper jack cheese, crunchy red onion and smooth, cool guacamole is hard to beat. Plus, what a great way to start the weekend! I’ll take two please.
Jenni from Pastry Chef Online says the hardest part of making homemade butterscotch hard candy is waiting for it to cool…. I believer her! I want to pop a bunch of them in my mouth all at once! Sweet up for the weekend people!!
If you don’t feel like making candy, then get in the spirit of Mardi Gras this weekend by baking a homemade Cream Cheese and Raspberry King Cake from The Speckled Palate! A traditional pastry that’s well-loved during Carnival season in South Louisiana. This stuffed king cake, has a cinnamon-sugar layer, then a combined cream cheese and raspberry layer! Homemade king cake has never been tastier!
So what will you make this week? Anything reach out and tickle your fancy? If you make any of these dishes, please be sure to tag us on social media using the hashtag #DinnerDivas. We’d love to see and share your creations! And I hope where ever you are this week, you are safe, warm and happy!
Until next time friends, live life deliciously!
