Place approx 30 dark cocoa candy melts in a small, microwave safe bowl. Heat at 50% power for 30 seconds. Stir. Heat another 30 seconds always at 50% power. Stir again. If needed heat another 30 seconds and then stir until smooth.
Place melted chocolate in a decorating bag, or plastic sandwich bag. Snip off a tiny portion of one corner of the bag. Carefully pipe the chocolate into the eyes, nose and mouths in the bottom of each Jack O'Lantern cupcake well.
Place in refrigerator for 10 minutes.
While the faces are cooling, melt approx. half a bag of the orange candy melts using the same method as the cocoa melts. Stirring well after each 30 second interval.
Place melted orange candy in another piping bag or sandwich bag and cut off one corner. Carefully pipe the orange over the top of each face, completely covering the dark chocolate and making sure the orange reaches the edges of the mold. You're just aiming for a thin layer over the top of the face, not to fill the entire cupcake well.
Tap the mold on the counter a few times to get out all the air bubbles. When all the molds are full, return them to the fridge for about 30 minutes.
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
Make cake mix according to package directions.
Remove the molds from the refrigerator and carefully pop out the Jack O'Lantern faces. They should come out cleanly but you may need to manipulate them a little to get them to come free. It's not difficult, just work carefully.
Wipe down the molds and fill with cake batter.
Bake according to package directions.
Allow them to cool for at least 15 minutes before taking the cupcakes out of the molds. Let cool completely on a wire rack.
When the cupcakes are cool, melt another 15-20 Cocoa Candy melts as directed above.
Pipe a circle of Cocoa Candy on the plain orange side of the toppers. Place topper on cupcake and press gently to adhere.
Continue until all the toppers are on the cupcakes.
