Hi! I’m Sara! Welcome to My Imperfect Kitchen and my very imperfect life!
This blog was born as a way to share recipes and encourage people to cook. All the fancy blogs and network TV shows looked “perfect” and I burn toast! My skill-set was far from perfect, so My Imperfect Kitchen seemed fitting. I’m by no means a professional chef, but through the years I’ve taken cooking classes, attended a lot of foodie events and continue to learn every day about the wonderful world of food. I still burn toast, but my knife skills are much better!
When I’m not in my kitchen, you can find me doing recipe testing for cookbook authors, doing some freelance writing, monthly community demos for Master Food Preservers, teaching cooking classes and doing demos at larger public events like LA Cookie Con and The Orange County Fair here in Southern California. I’ve been blessed to judge several local cupcake and pie festivals as well as judging for National and International food competitions, such as The World Food Championships!
I’m on a never-ending quest to eat better and live a healthier life! I believe life isn’t perfect, but it should always be delicious!
Drop me a line and say Hi at: Sara@MyImperfectKitchen.com I’d love to hear from you!
