September is National Potato Month! My Top 12 Potato Recipes showcase some different ways to eat our favorite spud. It’s a start anyway because there are just sooooooooo many ways to make potatoes! I can speak from experience. We eat a lot of potatoes around here (My husband is Mr. Meat and Potatoes!) and we’ve even tried growing our own. It was a small failure, the crop only yielded a handful of tiny potatoes, but I learned a lot! Someday I’m going to try again and see how it turns out. Until then though, no reason not to celebrate the glorious tater! Potatoes are delicious and they’re good for you! They’re heart-healthy, fat-free, cholesterol-free, gluten-free and there’s more potassium per serving in potatoes than bananas! In fact, they’re one of the most nutrient-dense veggies in your entire produce department. So, dig in friends and don’t feel guilty!
