Hi friends! It’s time to haul out the decorations, invite your friends and family, set the table with fancy china and EAT! My favorite part of this whole gathering and eating holiday, is the Turkey dressing or stuffing, whichever name you may call it. In our house, it was Oyster Stuffing. The recipe came from my Grandmother. It was always cooked inside the biggest turkey we could find. Sadly, I have no idea where Grandma got the recipe, but there was never a question of having anything else on the table. That would be blashphemy.
As a child, (ok, even as an adult) I would be deliriously happy with a few slices of turkey (the leg if I were lucky), a few tablespoons of homemade cranberry sauce and the rest of my plate piled high with Oyster Stuffing. No green beans (though those were always there too), no spinach, no dinner rolls, no roasted vegetables or sweet potatoes, no salad, no mashed potatoes or gravy, just oyster stuffing and a fork. Pure Bliss!
For those recipe lovers inclined to try new and different things though, I present you with a list of 15 Stuffing Dressing Recipes! They all look great and make me super excited for the upcoming holidays!
