Wait? Did I just say that? Me? The self-proclaimed “I am not a fan of smoothies” girl? Yep, because you know what? I may actually like smoothies now! (No one fainted, right?) Admittedly, it’s been a learning process, but the more I try them, the more I like them. Who would have thought? For the record, my Cardiologist is doing cartwheels right now.
When my friend Ally Phillips offered her blogging friends an opportunity to make and share several different recipes she created for Dole and the Live On Green Tournament of Roses Pre-parade celebration, there were several choices. We had different smoothies, hummus, cocktails and desserts to choose from. Guess who didn’t opt for making a dessert? Possibly the first time in my entire life, I passed on dessert! Some of you might have fainted this time. I apologize. I hope there was a pillow or something soft nearby.
This healthy green smoothie is PACKED with DOLE® Baby Spinach, DOLE® Pineapple Juice, Frozen DOLE® Mango Chunks and a DOLE® Banana! It’s both refreshing and filling! It makes enough to share with your favorite person or save for yourself for later. My granddaughter was visiting when I made this for the first time. She loved it so much, she kept coming back for more!

Live On Green Smoothie
Ingredients
- 4 cups DOLE® Baby Spinach
- ¾ cup vanilla soy milk
- ½ cup DOLE® Pineapple Juice chilled
- 1 cup DOLE® frozen Mango Chunks
- 1 DOLE® banana
Instructions
- Combine spinach, soy milk and pineapple juice in a blender or the bowl of your food processor.
- Cover and blend until completely smooth, scraping down the sides if necessary.
- Add frozen mango chunks and banana. Cover again, blend until smooth.
- Pour into two cups and enjoy!
