Finally! The weather is starting to cool down here in Southern California. We may get our two weeks of Fall-ish temperatures before it goes back up into the 90’s again. While it’s cool, I’m going to take advantage of being able to bake in the middle of the day and make this Easy Rustic Apple Tart as a surprise for dessert tonight.
Store bought pie-crust and my apple slicer are the keys to putting this tart together quickly and easily.
There are only a few ingredients, which makes it simple to put together! You’ll want to make a batch of Homemade Apple Pie Spice too. It *is* apple season after all!
A few quick turns of the pie dough, a bit of egg wash, a quick sprinkle of sanding sugar and you’re ready for the oven in less than 10 minutes! And in 30 minutes, it’s time for dessert!
Doesn’t it look great?
You know what else would be amazing on this tart? Perhaps a bit of ice cream and some DIY Apple Cider Caramel Sauce! Oh yea, I went there.
The boys were pleasantly surprised with this apple tart in the middle of the week and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for this cooler weather to continue! What’s the weather like where you live right now? Share with me! I’d love to know!
Enjoy the Apple Tart! Until next time friends, live life deliciously!!
Hey!! So, I’ve never known what a baking apple is…. I know my Gala’s, Pink Lady’s, and Fuji’s, but are baking apples more tart? Like Granny Smith? This is one area that I’m endlessly confused in, and will probably take a couple explanations for it to sink into my brain. I love the recipe for the Apple Pie Spice Mix too! You’re a genius!
