Hi friends! Welcome to Dinner Divas Week 88! I don’t know about you, but there is so much going on right now, having these quick and easy dishes to put together is a blessing. This week there are comfort food classics like lasagna, sloppy joes and vegetable pot pies. Heartier dishes of herb crusted tenderloin and red-wine braised short ribs, plus a gingerbread cake from Grandma and Gingerbread cut out cookies that will knock your socks off!
New followers, HELLO! Thank you for stopping by to share a bit of time. This is how Dinner Divas works: Every Friday morning, a new menu plan is posted. It consists of 5 dinner options, plus 2 extras. Those two extras could be side dishes, dessert, drinks, etc. The Dinner Divas weekly menu plan is designed to feature quick and easy recipes so you have the chance to make your shopping list and get organized for the coming week. It’s so convenient to have new recipes right at your fingertips! I hope this weekly menu plan provides inspiration and makes life a little easier… one meal at a time. Are you ready to dig in? I am! C’mon, let’s eat!
Dinner Divas Weekly Menu Plan: Week 88
This Skillet Lasagna from Kirsten of Comfortably Domestic has all of the rich and hearty flavors of deep dish lasagna, blended together with the ease and convenient preparation of a one pan dinner. Sounds like the perfect way to start the week!
My friend Jenni from Pastry Chef Online is sharing this Easy Sloppy Joe Recipe loaded with organic onion and sweet red pepper goodness! She says it will easily feed a family of four, twice! It’s also Whole30 compliant and 100% organic! Win-Win!
Do you know how amazing your Wednesday will be when you make this Mediterranean Herb Crusted Beef Tenderloin from Erin at The Speckled Palate? Beef tenderloin slathered (don’t you just love that word?) in a mixture of fresh herbs, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and spices, chill, then baked until medium rare. The meat soaks up the flavors of the Mediterranean herbs as it cooks and is the perfect centerpiece for any holiday meal!
Thursday would not be complete without the comfort of my Homemade Pot Pies. This a vegetarian pot pie, but if you feel the need to add meat, chicken or even chunks of any leftover beef tenderloin from Wednesday would be delicious beneath this flaky pie crust!
This fall off the bone Red Wine Braised Short Rib Recipe from Cheryl at Pooks Pantry is perfect for a chilly evening when you crave a comforting meal. Cooked low and slow in the oven, these short ribs are so soft it will render your knife useless!
Of course, you must finish off the week with something sweet! Cheryl at Pooks Pantry was kind enough to share her grandmothers recipe for Gingerbread Cake. We’ll never argue with Grandma over an old family recipe so you know it’s going to be wonderful! Plus, I love how she’s decorated it with the powdered sugar snowflakes. So festive!
Continuing the Gingerbread Theme, Kirsten from Comfortably Domestic is sharing her kids favorite Gingerbread Cut Out Cookies! Between Kids, Grandmas, Cakes, Cookies and Christmas, it’s sure to be a delicious weekend!
Whew! Can you believe next week will be the end of 2018. It’s been quite a ride! If the holidays aren’t keeping you too busy, I’d love to hear from you about this weeks recipes! Wishing you all the most wonderful weekend and a glorious week ahead! Happy Holidays from my house to yours!
Until next time friends, live life deliciously!
