Hi friends! Here in Southern California, we are experiencing rain showers! Basically this means, a little water falls from the sky and no one knows how to drive anymore. Our news and radio stations blast “Storm Watch 2019!!” as if the world were ending. Please. Thank goodness for our Dinner Divas Week 96 to keep things grounded in reality. This week is so full of yum, as soon as the rain stops, I’m heading to the grocery store.
Dinner Divas Weekly Menu Plan: Week 96
I finally cracked the code on how to make juicy pork chops! Sometimes simple is so much better than the over-thinking I do when it comes to making dinner. These pork chops are brushed with oil, then sprinkled with salt and pepper. That’s it. Nothing else! Can you believe it? Monday just became wonderful!
These gorgeous Keto chicken thighs with charred lemon, tomatoes and herbs from Pooks Pantry are a fast and easy weeknight dinner that is also easy on the wallet. It comes together in about 30 minutes, it’s a one pan meal and you can use bone in or boneless chicken thighs. Now that’s a win-win for a busy weekday!
When I first saw these Sirloin Steaks with Creamy Onion Sauce from Comfortably Domestic, I asked her if she delivered. Unfortunately, the answer was no, but lucky for us, we have this recipe! Cast iron seared succulent beef sirloin with a rich onion cream sauce makes for an easy, elegant dinner that’s on the table in about 20 minutes!
This Cajun spicy tomato soup from Pastry Chef Online is perfect for cold weather (See above about rain in California) and doubly perfect for celebrating Mardi Gras! Plus, there are cheese and bacon croutons that go with it. Cheese. Bacon. Croutons. You need this recipe in your life people!
Happy Friday!! These Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Sandwiches with Mustard Coleslaw from The Speckled Palate are all kinds of delightful! It’s the perfect dish to feed a hungry crowd on a game day… or at a party, or Friday Family Movie Night, assuming you don’t mind sticky fingers as they get devoured.
Dessert just got an upgrade. How a rich, decadent chocolate cake, topped with melted chocolate then spiked with your favorite red wine? Chocolate cake with red wine ganache? Yes please! Valentines Day might be over, but I’m sure no one will mind continuing the sweet celebration a week or so longer. If for no other reason than to make this gorgeous treat!
Mardi Gras will be in full swing very soon! Why not celebrate early with this gorgeous Mardi Gras King Cake (plus a ton of great history about this dish!) from Comfortably Domestic! I am all in favor of spending the weekend making pastry!
So what will you make this week? Anything reach out and tickle your fancy? If you make any of these dishes, please be sure to tag us on social media using the hashtag #DinnerDivas. We’d love to see and share your creations! And I hope where ever you are this week, you are safe, warm and happy!
