I can’t help it. Nothing says summer like a great burger. I don’t care if it’s not officially summer yet. It’s close enough!
This one is simple. Yep. A simple hamburger recipe, just for you! Toasted Onion Bun. Hamburger Meat. Bacon. Lettuce. Tomato. Bacon. Green Chiles, Bacon, Pepper Jack Cheese. Bacon and mayonnaise.
So maybe we only had bacon once. But when the burger looks like this, who cares?
Yes, it’s the simple things that are best. So tonight, dinner was a little taste of summer and quality time with our youngest son before he graduates from high school next month.
To build these burgers is easy!
1 lb. burger meat, split into three patties
S&P to taste
9 pieces bacon, cooked
Three whole green chiles (from a can)
Pepper Jack Cheese, shredded
Lettuce leaves
Sliced Tomatoes
Onion Buns – Toasted
Cook the burgers on the grill to your desired doneness. We season ours with salt and pepper, keeping it pure and simple. I don’t add anything extra to the meat either.
Layer one side of the toasted onion bun with mayo, green chiles, bacon and the burger itself! Add shredded pepper jack cheese to the top of the burger, then top with lettuce, tomato and the other side of the bun!
See. The simple things really are best. And just like Summer, we have to enjoy them before they’re gone…
Holy buckets, that is one big burger!
Nothing beats a good burger fresh off the grill! Yours looks awesome! And congrats to your son!
Wow, you had me at the first picture. Amazing!
