Last week, the food blogging world was shaken to it’s core. We lost the lovely Joan Hayes, author of the blog Chocolate, Chocolate and More. Sadly, she passed away in her sleep from a massive heart attack. She leaves behind three gorgeous children and a legacy of wonderful recipes, friendships and joy. I never met Joan in person, but as happens with bloggers, we chatted occasionally on Facebook and I was blessed to share many of her recipes. She was one of the most genuine and passionate people I’ve ever met. She always made time for everyone. She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind and was while she didn’t pull any punches, she was always gracious! Those who knew Joan, including her 2 Million followers on Facebook, know she loved desserts, especially chocolate! Today is World Chocolate Day and it seems only fitting to honor Joan on a day that celebrates her favorite sweets. You’ll see a lot of chocolate recipes and dedications today with the hashtag #ChocolateForJoan as we celebrate a life gone too soon, a light who will be greatly missed! In honor of Joan, I put together the top 10 chocolate recipes from my blog. Oh my friends, life is so precious. We never know when it will be our turn to go, or when someone we love will be taken from us. No matter what’s happening, please take time today to hug your loved ones! Tell them how you feel. Be grateful for every moment you share with them. Have some chocolate too. After all, life isn’t perfect, but it should always be delicious! I’ll miss you Joan!
